Brooke Hargrove, Class of 2013 is an Anthropology major and a Sociology minor who thinks “the community atmosphere is what sets Mount Holyoke so distinctively apart from any other college that I have visited. From my first visit to my senior year, the atmosphere has unwaveringly been one characterized by warmth, passion, and inclusion.” Brooke has been involved with the Mount Holyoke News as the Editor of the Op/Ed section, and is currently the Social Chair for the Association of Pan African Unity (APAU). She was inspired to work one summer with The Fresh Air Fund after taking Debbora Battaglia’s course “Making Class Visible,” and in the summer of 2011 interned with the Detroit Institute of Art. Her social time is often spent having movie nights, going to events off campus, or meeting up with friends at The Thirsty Mind.
