Molly Lapointe, class of 2017, is a French major and an Educational Studies minor with a focus in Sport Pedagogy. She is interested in languages and takes Italian and Spanish along with French. On campus, she is on the varsity rowing team and the club ice hockey team. She is also a member of the Student Government Association (SGA), and serves as a rowing representative for the Student Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC). During the fall semester of 2015, Molly studied abroad through Mount Holyoke in Montpellier, France. She did two programs with SEA Semester over the summer going into her senior year. She sailed across the Atlantic Ocean and then sailed around Europe, learning about leadership and maritime policy aboard the ship. She mentioned that she loves that “at Mount Holyoke I am encouraged to be a student, an athlete, as well as a leader in clubs and organizations on campus.” After Mount Holyoke, Molly plans to travel and attend a romance language graduate program in Europe.
