Saadia El Karfi

Saadia El Karfi, class of 2017, is an international student from Morocco. Saadia is double majoring in Economics and French. She is also pursuing a Five College Certificate in Cognitive Neuroscience. Outside the classroom, Saadia is involved in Model United Nations. She served as a Model UN board member and was an events coordinator for the Five College Model United Nations club on campus in the spring of 2014. Saadia has had the opportunity to get laboratory and research experience with Professor Tanner in his Neuroscience Lab during the spring of 2014. She also works with the French Department as a French tutor during the academic year. During her free time, she enjoys being outdoors, running, hiking, and traveling. Saadia's favorite Mount Holyoke tradition is convocation and watching Dirty Dancing under the stars during orientation, because "Baby is going to Mount Holyoke in the fall.” After graduation, Saadia sees herself continuing her education in graduate school or delving into research regarding the amazing machine that is the brain.
