Sharon Looney-Armstrong, class of 2015, majors in Politics and minors in Gender Studies. Her favorite thing about Mount Holyoke? “I love the professors!” she says, who are not only innovative teachers dedicated to their students, but also active scholars, research scientists, and creative artists passionate about their disciplines. In addition to being a Frances Perkins Admission Fellow, Sharon is also the President of the Frances Perkins Scholar Association, an organization dedicated to providing opportunities for Mount Holyoke’s non-traditional aged students. In her free time, you might find Sharon reading, taking advantage of the many hiking trails in the Pioneer Valley, or at her favorite campus spot: the Octagon Room in the Williston Library
