We are pleased to invite you to nominate up to two exceptional academically accomplished seniors (Class of 2018) who would be eligible to receive a transportation allowance to attend our Focus on Diversity program, with arrival on Saturday, October 14, and programming on October 15-16, 2017.
Focus on Diversity is our overnight open house for prospective students of color and those students who have championed diversity causes at their school. This program, hosted by the Office of Admission, showcases Mount Holyoke’s leadership in supporting identity differences, as well as our institutional mission “to educate a diverse community of women at the highest level of academic excellence.” Prospective students will be hosted overnight by a current student and have the opportunity to tour campus, visit classes and attend cultural performances.
In considering your students for this program, we ask that your nominees:
- Combine academic excellence with a record of meaningful engagement with diversity causes
- Be open to pursuing education at Mount Holyoke, one of the nation's finest liberal arts colleges for women
- Demonstrate outstanding academic performance, leadership skills, and co-curricular involvement
- Be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident
Students who are chosen to participate in our Focus on Diversity program will receive lodging, meals, and transportation assistance from their home city to Mount Holyoke College.
Completed Nominations must include:
2. Student Program Application (a link to the program application will be emailed to the student upon submission of your nomination)
