Visits suspended until May 5
While there are no suspected or confirmed COVID-19 cases on Mount Holyoke’s campus, in light of the virus’s rapid spread – and based on emerging recommendations from the CDC and other public health authorities – the College has moved to enact several preventive and proactive measures. These measures impact our ability to host visitors to campus. Effective March 13, 2020, all campus visits will be suspended until May 5. This includes all tours, lunch visits, information sessions, and on-campus interviews. Once we have a clear sense of the full impact of COVID-19 on campus operations, those registered for visit options within our suspension window will be contacted by our office to reschedule.
Come visit Mount Holyoke College—meet students, attend a class, sample our food, and get acquainted with our community while exploring our campus—which consistently wins awards for being one of the most beautiful. . . in any season!
Start your visit at the Office of Admission, where you can attend an information session before or after taking a campus tour with a student guide. We also encourage you to schedule an interview for the day of your visit so we can learn more about your interests and ambitions.
General Campus Tour: 60-75 minutes
Tour our campus with a current Mount Holyoke student. Campus tours are offered on most weekdays and Saturdays. We do recommend that you sign up prior to your campus visit to confirm tour dates and times. Special group tours may be scheduled by completing the Group Visit Request Form. Tours begin from the Office of Admission, Newhall Center.
As part of our commitment to carbon neutrality by 2037, Mount Holyoke is implementing sustainable initiatives across campus, from our residence halls to our dining halls. The Sustainability Tour departs from the Office of Admission and gives guests an in-depth look at campus with a focus on our existing - and upcoming - green initiatives. This specialized tour is led by a current student and offered most Fridays at noon; visitors can consult the schedule and register here.
Information Session: 45 minutes
Information Sessions, conducted by admission staff members, are opportunities to learn about our academic programs, career preparation, the student experience, and the admissions process. The sessions include time for discussion and questions. Reservations are not required but we do recommend that you sign up prior to your campus visit.
Lunch with a Current Student
We invite prospective students to have lunch in our new dining commons with a current student to enjoy informal conversation and learn more about the student perspective at Mount Holyoke. Lunch visits take place Monday–Friday, from noon – 1:00 pm, when classes are in session. You may sign up on our visit page.
Student Athlete Visits
We encourage all student-athletes to tour the Kendall Sports and Dance Complex and schedule a time to meet with a coach during your visit. You can also tour the Equestrian Center, just a short walk from the heart of Mount Holyoke’s campus. The facilities allow students to pursue dressage, jumping, hunter seat equitation, and cross-country training. The center’s visiting hours are Monday - Friday 10:00 am – 4:00 pm. The Equestrian Center encourages you to call 413-538-2272 or email prior to your visit.
