Architects of MHC Buildings

Mary Lyon Hall and Mary Lyon Chapel opened in 1897 on the former site of Mount Holyoke's original Seminary Building, which burned down in September, 1896. The buildings were designed by Gardner, Pyne and Gardner of Springfield, Massachusetts. In 1938,A llen, Collens, and Willis of Boston, Massachusetts enlarged and remodeled the oroginal chapel to create Abbey Memorial Chapel.
