Beyond its dedication to the academic mission of the College and the students here on campus, the Mount Holyoke College Art Museum is committed to providing enriching experiences to the broader community.
In addition to visiting the Museum on their own, visitors have the opportunity to experience tours, lectures and community events. Community members may request tours of the collection and exhibitions for adult groups of eight or more during the academic year. For further information or to book a tour, e-mail Weatherbie Curator of Academic Programs Ellen Alvord at 413.538.3249 or Kendra Weisbin at 413.538.3246.
Please check out our events page for more information.
Visits to museums give families a special opportunity to spend time together in rich learning environments. And for children, encountering real art objects in a museum enables them to make connections to what they already know and to what they are learning every day at home and in school.
At the Mount Holyoke College Art Museum, we encourage parents to talk with their children about what they see. Please check back soon for family activities.
