Visits to museums give families a special opportunity to spend time together in rich learning environments. And for children, encountering real art objects in a museum enables them to make connections to what they already know and to what they are learning every day at home and in school.
At the Mount Holyoke College Art Museum, we encourage parents to talk with their children about what they see. To help them do that we provide an Activity Book that makes the visit interactive, and we offer an annual family day at the Museum. Ask for an activity book at the front desk!
