Photo, Film, and Sketch Policy
Still photography without flash is permitted only for private, non-commercial use and only of objects in the permanent collection. MHCAM does not hold copyright for all permanent collection objects on display. Visitors are responsible for determining if use of their image(s) may be subject to copyright infringement. Photography in special exhibitions or of objects on loan is not permitted.
Special authorization by Museum staff is required for the use of a tripod, video, or movie equipment.
Pencils only may be used for note-taking or sketching. The use of ballpoint pens, ink, markers, fountain pens, or watercolors is not permitted in the galleries. Special authorization by Museum staff is required for the use of crayon, pastel, or charcoal.
