The Skinner Museum is a great place to begin your research on the Skinner family, on material culture, or on the history of western Massachusetts.  In addition to the objects in the collection, the Museum also has a fair number of books, manuscripts, and documents related to local history. Browse our finding aid for more information about this collection.

The Skinner Museum is one of many sites associated with the Skinner family.  The Museum offers a self-guided driving tour that incorporates visits to other Skinner family sites in Holyoke and South Hadley, including Wistariahurst Museum, the family home of the Skinners in nearby Holyoke, and Skinner State Park. For more information and to pick up a self-guided driving tour, please visit either Wistariahurst or Skinner Museum.
