Internship Opportunities at the Museum
What better way to learn about the museum field than to experience it up-close and behind–the–scene? The Mount Holyoke College Art Museum awards a variety of formal and informal internships for both Mount Holyoke College students and non–students. Museum interns gain experience and knowledge within the museum environment and work on meaningful projects under the guidance of museum professionals. The Museum welcomes and encourages students from all backgrounds to apply and is dedicated to developing a culturally diverse internship program. For more information please visit the Get Involved section of this site.
Course Content Opportunities
The Museum’s staff works with a variety of resources to provide students with content-rich instruction based on the Museum's collections and special exhibitions. We encourage students to search our database, and request that objects be pulled from our collection that currently are not on view. Objects can be viewed upon request in the Carson Teaching Gallery.
Opportunities for Student Organizations
All student organizations are welcome at the Mount Holyoke College Art Museum— the Museum can develop customized tours and/or activities for any campus organization interested in a special gathering at the Museum. For more information, contact the Museum’s Business and Events Manager Debbie Davis at 413.538.2096.
