The Virginia 'Timmy' Craig '31 Rhododendron Garden is one of the Botanic Garden's newest gardens, having been created and planted out in 1999-2000. Nestled next to the Art Building, this garden features many species and cultivars of rhododendrons, with shade-loving companion plants, including many unusual species from temperate Eastern Asia. Timmy Craig, Class of 1931, was an avid plantswoman, and long-time, active member of the American Rhododendron Society.
