Laini Taylor, Author of "Dreams of God and Monsters"

National Book Award finalist and author of the fantasy series The Daughter Of Smoke and Bone, Laini Taylor, comes to campus with the series' final book, Dreams of God and Monsters. Event cosponsor Bellatrix promises a night of monsters, angels, glitter, and masks. There will be a costume booth, glitter tattoos, trivia, and giveaways in addition to the author appearance and reading.

Pangy Day

Pangy Day includes the all-college picnic at the Amphitheater and then moves up to Skinner Green for a “fun free for all” with more music, games, the Ritual Maypole & Spiral Dance, face painting, ice cream, and more. Queen Moremi, an African folk opera

Directed by Five College Ethnomusicologist, Prof. Bode Omojola, the production features Nigerian performers—master drummer Bisi Adeleke and choreographer Oyebimpe Davis—and Five College students enrolled in Music 228 (African Folk Opera in Theory and Practice). All music will be in the Yoruban language, which students in Music 228 have learned under the direction of professor Omojola.
