Mount Holyoke College
Emergency Medical Transportation
Community members who become ill when the Health Center is open and are unable to get to the Health Center on their own can call the Campus Police Department at x2304 or in an emergency at 1-911 to request a ride. Campus Police can not provide transportation to the Health Center for routine medical appointments. Medical rides can also be requested from emergency phones.
Campus Police dispatchers can also call for an ambulance when needed.
Ride Card Transportation
Campus Police are unable to provide transportation on campus. However, a system has been established to provide transportation for those students who are temporarily or permanently unable to travel the campus by foot for medical reasons. Students believing they need such services should contact the Health Center who will issue Ride Cards to students they find would benefit by this service. Students who have a medical condition requiring point-to-point on-campus transportation must obtain a Ride Card by making an appointment at the Health Center at ext 2121.
Late Night Transportation
For students moving about the campus after hours, Campus Police patrol officers may be able to provide escorts as they are available. Call the Campus Police dispatcher at x2304 to request an escort after 12:30 am and until dawn. Services may be limited by campus incidents or emergencies. Such escorts are available from campus parking lots to residence halls, or from academic buildings to residence halls. The Campus Police can not accommodate residence hall to residence hall services.
Campus police can provide transportation to Health Services in the evening. Officers will provide daytime transportation to Health Services only in an emergency.
