Resources for Off-Campus Employers

Organizations partnering with Mount Holyoke College through our Off-Campus Work Study (OCWS) Community Service Project offer academic-year employment to our students at their work sites.  As a result, we are able to supply the community with intelligent and enthusiastic assistance and our students gain exposure to work opportunities beyond the gates of our college.  This assistance is available at a low cost to employers; in most instances, employers are responsible only for training, supervision and a very small portion of the student's wage.

Community Service Partners

Local community service and non-profit organizations are eligible to participate in the OCWS Community Service Program.  Many local organizations participate each year and MHC students fill a wide variety of roles, from webmasters to high school mentors.

Contact Janice Kane for an information packet and to participate.

America Reads/Counts Partners

Elementary schools, pre-schools and after-school programs are eligible to participate in the Five College America Reads Program.  100% of the student's wage is paid by Mount Holyoke College and the Federal America Reads/Counts Program.  Please go to the Community Based Learning webpage to learn more about America Reads/Counts.

Posting an Off-Campus Job (Non-Work Study)

Mount Holyoke College uses a student employment database called JobX.  Employers can easily post available jobs into the database and students can search and apply for your position within JobX.  Once in JobX, go to ‘Information for Employers’ and ‘Submit an Application’.  For additional questions, to remove an application, or make any changes to your submission, contact Janice Kane, Student Employment Coordinator.
