The Commencement ceremony will be held on Sunday, May 20, 2018 at 10:30 a.m. in the Gettell Amphitheater.
Only guests with tickets will be admitted into the amphitheater.
Dangerous weather location: Kendall Field House
The ampitheater is an outdoor shadeless venue where guests will be seated on tiered grass benches. Holding the ceremony in the ampitheater is a treasured tradition at Mount Holyoke, but the footing in and around the ampitheater may be uneven and difficult for guests with issues of mobility.
Where else can family and guests watch the ceremony?
There are three alternative places on campus to watch a live telecast of the ceremony for family members/guests without tickets, or who find the ampitheater seating difficult.
- on a large screen near Porter Hall
- in Blanchard Campus Center, which is handicap accessible — including access to restrooms — and air-conditioned for family members or guests who may not tolerate the warmer weather
- in Hooker Auditorium
The telecast in both Blanchard and Hooker is closed captioned for the hearing impaired.
The ceremony will also be livestreamed for family and friends who cannot attend in person.
