COVID-19 Dashboard

These data represent the results of testing at the on-campus testing center as part of our asymptomatic testing program for those who are in residence or who have been approved to come to campus for work. Testing is conducted during weekdays. Contact tracing and notification are conducted seven days a week. This dashboard will be updated weekly.

Description of operating level thresholds

Operating Level 1: Normal COVID-19 Operations

  • Cases are low and transmission controlled. Continue health screenings daily. Wear face coverings and practice physical distancing.
  • Students tested twice per week, on campus employees tested on normal schedule
  • Students must stay within a 10-mile driving distance of campus. This travel perimeter is intended for short and minimal trips off campus to help students access the resources they need for food, personal hygiene, grooming, etc.
  • No visitors or guests allowed in any campus building except approved vendors/contractors
  • Follow campus safety protocols and personal healthy hygiene practices
  • High-risk individuals can request accommodations

Operating Level 2: Modified Normal COVID 19 Operations with Heightened Awareness

  • Moderate number of cases with most from a known source. Limit further exposure for yourself and others to COVID-19 and continue all precautions.
  • Students tested twice per week, on campus employees tested on normal schedule
  • Students able to leave campus only to go to Village Commons, campus provided shuttles and off campus health appointments
  • No visitors or guests allowed in any campus building except approved vendors/contractors
  • Implement remote instruction and work options in units/areas impacted as needed
  • Implement limits on campus activities and events as safeguard for spread of the disease

Operating Level 3: Restricted COVID 19 Operations

  • Many cases, including community spread with some undetected cases. Limit everyday activities to increase safety.
  • Consider additional testing if student or employee cases remain high
  • Students must remain on campus and can only access their residence hall and dining commons, limited exceptions for off campus health appointments
  • No visitors, guests, vendors or contractors allowed in any campus building. Exceptions only for vendors/contractors providing emergency service
  • Buildings open only for student use are closed (Kendall, Library, Gamble)
  • Advise campus to begin twice-daily health checks
  • Expand remote learning and administrative functions in impacted areas
  • Significantly reduce campus activities and events
  • Limit dining services to grab-and-go

Operating Level 4: Severely Restricted COVID 19 Operations - temporary or ongoing

  • Widespread uncontrolled outbreak with many undetected cases. Take strong measures to limit all contact.
  • Student meals delivered to residence halls if in room quarantine called
  • All classes and events in remote format
  • Students must remain on campus and can only access their residence hall and dining commons
  • Buildings open for only student use remain closed (Kendall, Library, Gamble)
  • Consider additional testing if student or employee cases continue to grow
  • Non essential staff and faculty to work remotely
  • No visitors, guests, vendors or contractors allowed in any campus building. Exceptions only for vendors/contractors providing emergency service

Campus Reopening: Campus Quarantine

  • Campus opening January 2021- limited movement, on campus quarantine
  • Students to remain in rooms until they receive first negative COVID test
  • Student meals delivered to residence halls until after first negative COVID test
  • Students must remain on campus and can only access campus grounds, their residence hall and dining commons
  • All classes and events in remote format for first two weeks of the semester
  • Suspend campus activities for two weeks or longer
  • Student residence halls restricted to only essential personnel and services

 

Testing Data

Data Glossary

Total Tests: The total number of COVID-19 tests collected since the College’s testing program began on August 12, 2020.

Positive Tests: The total number of positive COVID-19 tests collected since the College’s testing program began on August 12, 2020.  This number includes positive tests for students and employees in our testing program who tested in our testing center or at an off campus testing site. 

Positivity Rate: The sum of positive COVID-19 tests divided by the total number of tests collected (either over the time period indicated or since program inception).

Testing Frequency: Students living on campus are tested two times weekly. Faculty and staff are tested one or two times weekly, depending on the frequency and duration of time spent on campus.

Quarantine and Isolation Space: The current percentage of available COVID-19 isolation and quarantine space on-campus.

Affiliates: This represents a small group of people closely connected to campus and in our testing program. They are not students or employees.
