FOOD AND FAMINE IN AFRICAN HISTORY

Course Objectives
In this seminar, we explore the processes of historical change that have led to famines and "food crisis" in modern Africa. By the end of the course, students will be able to engage in convincing, well-evidenced conversation about the causes of past (and future) famines in Africa.
