DIFFERENCES IN LEARNING

This course surveys the etiology, diagnosis, and remediation of a variety of special needs and learning differences, including dyslexia, attention deficit disorders, and autism. Student are provided training in interpreting test results, observing behavior, evaluating clinical information from different theoretical perspectives, diagnostic hypothesizing, and planning individualized educational programs. The principles of inclusion and its implications for special-needs children are discussed as well. Each student studied an educational aspect of special needs and presented a poster presentation.
