Announcements:

  • December 13, 2002: We'll have a Review Session on Monday, December 16 at 4:00 pm in 402 Clapp (our usual classroom).


  • December 11, 2002: The practice problems for the final exam (along with solutions) are available on the Resources page.


  • December 9, 2002: On the Resources page, you'll find a link to instructions on using a calculator to graph partial sums of power series. Also, the solutions to Hour Exam III are available


  • November 26, 2002: Hour Exam III is scheduled for the end of the week after Thanksgiving. There's a practice exam on the Resources page. For more practice, go to the Resources page from last spring's Math 202 website.


  • October 25, 2002: Hour Exam II is coming up on October 31 and November 1. It covers material from integration by partial fractions through improper integrals. There's a practice exam available on the Resources page.


  • October 1, 2002: Calculus Help Sessions are held Sunday through Thursday evenings from 7 until 10 in 401 or 402 Clapp. There are Calculus II tutors on duty each night. Three of them are assigned to our section: Benedicta Van-Ess (Monday), Gitanjali Chimalakonda (Tuesday), and Afua Amoah (Wednesday). On Sunday and Thursday, you should just talk to the tutors from the other section.


  • October 1, 2002: Look under Calculator Examples on the resources page for help with solving systems of linear equations on the TI-83, TI-85, and TI-89.


  • September 18, 2002: My office hours today will be 4:30 - 5:30 instead of 3:00 - 4:00.


  • September 13, 2002: The solution to Quiz 1 is available from the Resources page.


  • September 5, 2002: The fourth hour will be divided between Tuesday and Thursday afternoons. The class will meet from 2:40 - 4:25 (with at least one short break) every Tuesday and Thursday. We will have no Wednesday or Friday meetings.

  • September 3, 2002: The textbook for the course is

    Single Variable Calculus
    by James Stewart, fourth edition,
    Brooks/Cole, 1999.
    There are some used copies at Odyssey. This same textbook has been used in both Calculus I and Calculus II here for a few years, so there should be lots of used copies floating around.
