Announcements:

  • May 18, 2002: Thanks to everyone for a great semester, and for doing such good work on the final exam. For those who are interested, the final exam solutions are available from the Resources page.

  • May 7, 2002: We will have a Review Session on Thursday, May 9, from 9:00 - 10:30 AM in 120 Clapp, our usual classroom.

My Thursday office hours this week will be from 1:00 to 2:30, instead of 3:30 to 5:00.

  • May 5, 2002: The Final Exam is comprehensive. It will include material from all three hour exams, plus some additional material we covered in class after Hour Exam 3. There are practice problems on this newest material on the Resources page.

As with Hour Exam 3, you will be allowed to use one sheet of notes on the final exam. Be prepared to hand in your note sheet with your test.

  • May 1, 2002: If you want to know how to graph a power series on your graphing calculator, check out these examples. (The examples page is also available from the Resources page.)

  • April 22, 2002: Hour Exam 3 will be available after class on Thursday, April 25, and will be due by 5:00 pm on Friday, April 26. The Practice Exam is available from the Resources page. You can use a single "cheat sheet" for this test; see the instructions with the practice exam for details.

  • April 17, 2002: There's a program running on the web server that's adding up the terms of the Harmonic series at about 20 terms per second. Will the partial sums reach 20 by the end of the semester? You can check the counter's progress from the Resources page.

  • April 9, 2002: The homework from sections 12.1 and 12.2 is on the Homework page. Sorry I didn't have the assignment with me in class this morning.

  • March 25, 2002: Hour Exam II is scheduled for the end of this week. It will be a self-timed, take-home exam, to be completed sometime between the end of Thursday morning's class meeting and Friday at 5:00 pm. There is a Practice Exam available from the Resources page.

Let me know if you find any errors in the Practice Exam.

  • March 14, 2002: We will not meet this Friday, March 15, 2002. Enjoy your spring break.

  • February 20, 2002: We will not meet this Friday, February 22, 2002. Also, I won't be holding office hours on Thursday, February 21.
