Victor
Hugo's Les Miserables brings us into the world of the
working class, but it leaves many questions unanswered. What
is the image of particular sectors of the working class that
Hugo is trying to convey? In what ways is his image true to reality,
and it what ways is it a distortion? In our site we attempt to
more fully understand both Hugo's representation of the working
class, and the reality of French working class life at the time
of Les Miserables. |
