A Respectable Trade

Although we have already established that Frances was not really a slave (Professor Gabriel gave many reasons), I thought that it was interesting how Sarah at the end of the film tried to make Frances give up her child to her. Sarah esentially said that the child was not hers (Frances') for the keeping. This seemed a little more in keeping with slavery and how the children born in it were the property of the owners...
This is just an observation that I had and one I thought that I would share on this discussion forum...
