The way I understand, class is both. It is the way in which we produce goods and services in a society. That means, in a capitalist society, the position of being either a capitalist or a wage-laborer.
: Could someone please explain to me what class means? I have come to accept the definition of class as being the economic process involved in a particular community. However I have also recognized that we also use the term to describe a person's "position " in society (upper class etc). Which one is correct?
