: Why is the Neo-classical theory "the theory" if it does not apply to real life (real time)?

I believe that when the Neoclassicists initially began disecting the economy into what factors determine it, real time was lost. For in real time things are constantly fluxing and to base an entire theory on what is true for the momment is a foolish thing to do. Of course, this is going with Marxism ideals which states that economy is overdetermined by all the world's processes which are constantly in motion.
