Just a thought that struck me in class today:
We have been talking about the information technology industry and the corporations that were born and died quite dramatically over the course of a few years. A friend of mine graduated with a degree in Computer Science three years ago. He was immediately employed by a dotcom corporation. At that point they were 300 employees. During the three years that my friend has been with the company, they have been exposed to some radical changes. At first, they grew to 2000 employees. Today, however, there are only 500 left. Imagine that development in a mere three years!
