Francis receives 300 guineas per month. We do not know what Sara is
paid. However, it is clear that Sara does not belong to her brother
as chattel. She can leave the household. Also, neither Francis nor
Sara does productive labor. They are more akin to managers, so the
issue of their being exploited doesn't come up. Instead, they are
contributing to the system by which the slaves are exploited. Francis
may do so as a sort of feudal knight. Sara is more of a partner to
her brother.
