In Chapter 10, Milly gives her opinion and the teacher tells her to figure out why she feels that way.
: Have you ever had to explain why you had a certain opinion a certain way?
:Have you ever had an opinion but couldn't explain why you thought that way?
: Why should we explain our opinions?
: In the story, Jill says that "'Dale ought to stick by his beliefs because that what my brother says" Is it ok to explain an opinion with "b/c so and so told me?"
: or Is it ok for our reason for doing something is "b/c so and so told me?"
: When is it ok to do something b/c someone tells us to?
: When is it not?

Dale has a hard time deciding whether he should stand up for the pledge or not. He thinks he should because his parents tells him to, but his classmates tell him he should stand up.: What tells us why we should or should not do something someone tells us to?
