Michael Penn (Religion) has received a joint summer fellowship of $7,500 from the American Philosophical Association and the British Academy to help fund manuscript research in the British Library this Summer.

The Peter and Elizabeth Tower Foundation has awarded the Art Museum $5,000 in support of educational outreach programs.
The Weissman Center/Community Based Learning Program has received a Massachusetts Promise Fellowship for the 2011-2012 program year in support of CBL's partnership with the Peck School. This will provide a full-time VISTA position from August 2011 to July 2012 to support 8th-9th grade transition programming in Holyoke, which, among other things, will recruit Mount Holyoke CBL and volunteer students as tutors, mentors, and project participants.
