
Kathryn Accurso is an applied linguist and former ESL teacher who now works in teacher education. Her award-winning research and teaching focus on critical professional development for K-12 teachers to support them in developing more effective and equitable teaching practices around 21st-century disciplinary literacies. Accurso has been a lecturer in Mount Holyoke's Master of Arts in Teaching program since 2013 where she teaches courses like Teaching English Language Learners, Second Language Acquisition and Classroom Practice, and Language Assessment and supervises teacher candidates seeking ESL licensure.
