Lyndsey Nunes

Lyndsey Nunes, Ph.D., BCBA, has served as the Inclusive Concurrent Enrollment Initiative Program Director at Westfield State University since 2013. Nunes has 10 years of experience working with students with disabilities between the ages of 8-22. She has worked in a variety of settings such as public schools, private substantially separate schools, home based programs, and inclusive postsecondary education. She earned her Ph.D. from the University of Massachusetts Amherst focusing her dissertation research on the development and enhancement of self-determination skills of students in inclusive postsecondary education programs in Massachusetts. Nunes adjuncts at Westfield State University, University of Massachusetts Amherst, and Simmons College teaching courses in Special Education course sequences.

Nunes’ recent research focus is on: developing a blue print for a dual-enrollment consortium in Western Massachusetts, this includes K-12 and Higher Education partners; developing data collection tools for students and staff in dual-enrollment inclusive programs; program evaluation; and developing comprehensive training programs for staff in inclusive postsecondary education programs. She has presented at local, national, and international conferences on inclusive postsecondary education, stimulus equivalence, and computer-assisted instruction.
