Zemora Tevah

Zemora Tevah is thrilled to be joining the Mount Holyoke community, bringing their experiences working in higher education as well as their background as a high school teacher, to the AccessAbility Services team. In every educational setting, Zemora is passionate about advocating for student needs, supporting students in their educational journeys, and making sure that everyone has access to a high quality education.

Within higher education, Zemora worked to reduce barriers faced by students who were navigating their academic careers while also raising young children, in Student Parent Programs at the University of Massachusetts. Prior to that, Zemora was a Crisis Intervention Counselor, providing counseling services, resources, and referrals to students who were survivors of sexual violence, at the Center for Women & Community, also at UMass. Zemora loves helping build students’ sense of belonging, and brings a trauma-informed lens to their professional work.

Most recently, as a high school teacher, Zemora was focused on integrating social justice into the classroom, from teaching Special Education and English at Amherst Regional High School, to teaching Ethnic Studies at Holyoke High School.
