What is Intergroup Dialogue?

Intergroup dialogue is "a facilitated, face-to-face encounter that strives to create new levels of understanding, relating and action between two or more social identity groups who have a history of conflict or potential conflict" (Zúñiga & Nagda, 2003).

The Intergoup Dialogue Weekend Course: Exploring Race and Racism in the United States and Mount Holyoke College is designed to encourage students to develop skills for exploring differences and commonalities in diverse social settings.

“Going Beyond Politics”

The 2019 conference will consist of workshops that focus on the topics of peer networking, professional and personal development, and leadership opportunities. Most importantly, this conference will provide a space to celebrate the lives and accomplishments of women of color. Co-sponsored by the Weissman Center for Leadership, this year’s keynote speaker(s) will include political figures and activists who are engaged in public policy.
