Curious about what single women did if they didn't attend Mount Holyoke? Come explore working women's leisure activities in After the Evening Bell: Working Women and Leisure Time in Lowell, Massachusetts, 1830-1860. The exhibit, curated as a senior history thesis project by Phoebe Cos '16, draws on the collections of the Mount Holyoke College Skinner Museum, Mount Holyoke  Costume Collection and Mount Holyoke Archives and Special Collections to examine women's consciousness of personal independence through participation in leisure time activities. The exhibit will be on display in the Williston library atrium from March 14th- April 11th.
