Dublin-born novelist Colum McCann is the author of six novels and three short story collections, and is widely known for his international best-sellers TransAtlantic and Let the Great World Spin. The New York-based award-winning author's most recent publication is Thirteen Ways of Looking. McCann is actively involved in several charities including Narrative 4, a global non-profit which encourages storytelling in young people as a form of what McCann calls "radical empathy." He will be giving  a public talk on Letters to a Young Writer, his collection of columns of writing advice. He will happily take any questions afterwards.
