BOOM! — Building on Our Momentum — now in its second year, is an all-campus learning conference featuring a series of events centered on the experience of conversation and community engagement. Sessions are designed by members of the community for the entire community.
Acting President Stephens is convening all of us — students, faculty, staff and administration — to engage one another and co-create our vision for diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) at Mount Holyoke, with an emphasis on valuing our diversity, building inclusive relationships and ensuring equity in our policies and practices.
All faculty, staff and students are expected to participate in the conference, which runs from March 31, beginning with Transgender Day of Visibility, through April 7, with the Women of Color Trailblazers Leadership Conference. Please attend at least one (if not more) BOOM event. Please also plan to attend the presidential keynote lecture on Tuesday, April 3, at 4:30 p.m. We are thrilled to welcome to campus Brittney Cooper, who will discuss her new critically acclaimed book, “Eloquent Rage: A Black Feminist Discovers Her Superpower.”
