Mount Holyoke has joined the Clinton Global Initiative University (CGI U) Network -- a consortium of colleges and universities that support, mentor, and provide seed funding to student innovators who are seeking solutions to some of the world’s most vexing challenges. Students will be supported to create Commitments to Action in the fields of Education, Environment and Climate Change, Peace and Human Rights, Poverty Alleviation, and Public Health. These plans may target action on the MHC campus, in the local community, or around the globe.
Commitments will be judged by CGI U. Selected students will be invited to participate in the annual CGI U meeting, March 21-23, 2014 at Arizona State University, to network with international experts and other student leaders. A select number of students will be given seed money to help implement their commitments.
