International Student Orientation Committee (ISOC)
Application due on Thursday, February 6, 2014 by 5pm
ISOC members help plan and carry out fall and spring pre-orientation activities for new international students. This is a wonderful opportunity for you to help welcome new students and introduce them to life at Mount Holyoke. Members must return to campus a few days before fall and spring orientation officially begin, and be able to devote most of their time to pre-orientation training and pre-orientation. This means that applicants cannot have jobs or other commitments which require special training sessions before or during Pre-Orientation.
We especially encourage first-year international students to apply! Since current ISOC members will interview all applicants, you must be on campus when you apply for membership on the committee. Also, we cannot consider any rising seniors for membership on ISOC.
After you apply to be on ISOC, you will be contacted for an interview--interviews will take place during the last week of February and the first week of March. If you are chosen to be on ISOC, you will normally continue as a member of the committee until you graduate. If you have any questions about ISOC, please contact one of the co-chairs: Fardina Faud '14 (firstname.lastname@example.org) or Fatima Ouadif '16 (email@example.com). You may also contact Donna Van Handle, Dean of International Students (firstname.lastname@example.org).
