This internship combines two opportunities with research institutes in Seoul: the Research Institute of Asian Women (RIAW) and the Korea Institute for International Economic Policy. The intern selected for this position will work half-time at each Institute.
RIAW was established in 1960 to explore the condition of women and to promote the advancement of women in Korea, Asia and beyond. The Institute is housed at Sookmyung Women's University, a large undergraduate and graduate university in Seoul, Korea. The intern selected for this position will work with the editor of the Institute's English journal and with several research fellows. Many articles and research papers will need proofreading, and some of the writers may be interested in getting tutoring on writing. Depending on the intern's interests, she may focus on a specific project and get involved in the research and development aspect of the selected topic.
