Sookmyung Women's University is a large, well-known undergraduate and graduate university in Seoul, Korea. The undergraduate student population is 11, 500 women. It has partnered with Mount Holyoke College since 2002 and has a long tradition of promoting international exchange. This summer, Sookmyung has agreed to offer a Mount Holyoke student an internship opportunity.
The selected student will be responsible to continue establishing a customized English summer program, similar to the program an MHC student developed at Tokyo Woman's Christian University in Japan. The intern will work with local students to improve their competency in English speaking, writing, and arguing through introducing and experimenting with innovative cross-cultural educational ideas and activities. The students attending the intern's workshops will have been selected competitively, and are very motivated to learn about different cultures and what it's like to be educated in other countries. The University is also interested in developing new methods and programs to encourage global leadership. SAW and/or other public speaking, leadership experience preferred.
This is a high-profile opportunity, ideal for a high-energy student with a strong work ethic, excellent people skills, and a keen interest in cross-cultural communication. The intern will be much like an ambassador of her culture(s) and language(s) to the local students.

- Applicant must be a self-starter
- Applicant must be highly innovative and energetic
- Prior experience in teaching and/or leading and designing workshops preferred
