Global Communications Intern

“Global Ambassador" provides international education consulting services in Yekaterinburg, Russia. The specialists at Global Ambassador help clients pursue international opportunities in the following areas: secondary education, undergraduate and postgraduate education, MBA and short-term language courses in many parts of the world. Global Ambassador also advises on scholarship opportunities and provides tailored foreign language courses for various purposes and specialized workshops to acquire the necessary skills for application process. Global Ambassador is also an accredited international testing center for TOEFL ibt, iTEP, ACT and GRE.
Tentative projects and opportunities for involvement:
The intern will have multiple opportunities to learn, engage in international education projects, practice cross-cultural skills and immerse herself in the local environment. A few major projects the intern will work on are:
- English Language & Leadership Camp for high school students applying to US universities (2- week day program in Yekaterinburg): lead speaking-intensive workshops devoted to the topics of globalization and cross-cultural issues.
- International Education Research & Advising: research and communicate with international preparatory chain schools on the opportunities of establishing its chain in Sverdlovsk region, Russia.
- Online System for English Language School: participate in market analysis of online English language schools and develop global HR attraction strategy.
- English Language Training and workshops: offer workshops on strategies for writing successful college essays, preparing for the TOEFL speaking and writing section, etc.
Genuine interest and skills in teaching English as a second language; experience in teaching English as a second language is a plus. Very strong organizational skills; ability to work on a team and independently; ability to work well with students and adults; excellent cross-cultural skills; sincere interest in international education and Russian culture, knowledge of the Russian language is an advantage.
