Student Health Advisory Committee (SHAC)

What is it?  SHAC is a 5-8 member Student Government Association (SGA) committee that works as a liaison between College Health Services and SGA/the general student population.

What is the purpose?  The purpose of this committee is to work closely with the College Health Services to provide guidance, advice, and feedback on the most effective approaches to providing health services and educational health messages to the students of Mount Holyoke College. In addition, this committee will assist the Coordinator of Health Education in providing educational information and activities to the campus a variety of topics as needed.

Pet-a-Pet is an event sponsored by SHAC twice a semester where local therapy dogs are invited to campus as a way for students to de-stress.
