Faculty and Staff Payroll

The Payroll Office receives documentation from the hiring department authorizing payment to faculty and/or staff.  You are required to provide us with the following information to be paid by the College.

Tax Forms

All employees must complete the following forms:

The Federal Employment Eligibility Verification (Form I-9)  requires that you present an original valid form of identification to your employer within three (3) business days of the date employment begins. The list of acceptable documents can be found on the back of the Form I-9, and you have the option to choose a document from List A or, you can choose one document from List B, and one from List C.

Note: If we do not receive the proper I-9 identification in a timely manner, your payment will be delayed.

Direct Deposit

All employees are paid through direct deposit. There are no paper direct deposit advices. Your direct deposit advice will be provided online (MyMountHolyoke). Each payroll, you will receive an email when your direct deposit advice is available for viewing online for the payroll that has just completed. You may receive your first payment as a check which you would need to deposit. It will also depend on the timing of when we receive your direct deposit form. All payments thereafter will be made by direct deposit.

Important: If you plan on closing your account at the bank, it is critical that you advise the Payroll Office before you close the account. If a direct deposit is sent to an account that has already been closed, it will take at least two (2) weeks before a replacement check can be issued.

Academic/Fiscal Year Pay Schedules

All employees are paid based on a particular pay schedule that best meets the department’s needs.
