Employee Orientation Group Information Sessions

Based on feedback provided by the community, the Human Resources Department is pleased to offer monthly sessions for new and “not so new” employees. Each session will consist of two parts: Part 1 (9:00- 10:00 am) will be the same for each meeting and will provide an overview of the college, its structure and important traditions and policies. Part 2 (10:00 - 11:00 am) will provide more in depth information about a specific topic. We encourage all employees to consider attending. Cindy Legare, Benefits and Training Manager, will give an overview of Medicare and options available for supplementing Medicare coverage. This session is offered by Human Resources. "Workplace Harassment Prevention" Online Course

All Mount Holyoke employees are expected to know and understand the College’s policies on unlawful harassment and discrimination and to abide by them. To support employees with their obligations, the College has provided the online training course. Online Training - available to all faculty, staff and students!

Those of us who have senior loved ones in our lives want to be sure they’re well-cared for. This webinar will address some of the challenges elders face as they age, and solutions that we, as caregivers, can put into place from near or afar. We will discuss common eldercare issues and which eldercare systems can best address these concerns. There will also be an opportunity at the end of the session to address more individualized concerns.

Five College Training & Development Collaborative

Amherst College, Smith College, and UMass Amherst offer a variety of training and development opportunities to their employees, some of which are open to Five College participants. All full-time and part-time staff and faculty at Mount Holyoke College, along with the other Five Colleges, are invited to participate in training and development workshops.
