Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee (IACUC)

The Institutional Animal Care & Use Committee (IACUC) is a federally mandated committee which is responsible for the assurance of compliance with federal regulations concerning vertebrate animal use. The MHC IACUC's goal is to assure the continual humane treatment of all animals used in teaching and research. Mount Holyoke College is committed to high scientific standards through high quality animal care and use. To that end, an approved Vertebrate Animal Use Proposal must be on file for each use of animals in teaching or research on campus.
