The Planning Committee, chaired by the President, oversees the current strategic planning process. The Committee’s charge is to monitor the implementation of the strategic plan and propose adjustments for consideration. The committee’s name and responsibilities change depending on whether the committee is in the process of developing a strategic plan, (The Strategic Planning Committee) or monitoring the plan’s implementation, (The College Planning Committee). The College Planning Committee’s membership includes students, staff, faculty (as outlined in faculty legislation), and administrators. The committee expands to include trustees and alumnae as the Strategic Planning Committee.
The current strategic plan, The Plan for Mount Holyoke 2021, has been extended by two years, and is thus The Plan for Mount Holyoke 2023. This extension was recommended by the senior leadership of the College and the College Planning Committee, and approved by the Board of Trustees.
Working closely with the Office of Institutional Research and Effectiveness (IRE), the College Planning Committee regularly reviews progress on the Strategic Plan’s four Strategic Priorities.
