Race and Ethnicity Enrolled Students Overview
Mount Holyoke has a rich tradition of enrolling an unusually diverse student body, in terms of race and class as well as national origin. Of our more than 2,200 undergraduate students, 26% identify as students of color (U.S. citizens); another 27% are international students from 69 countries, making Mount Holyoke one of the most diverse liberal arts colleges in the United States. Approximately 17% of our students represent the first generation in their families to attend college and 65% of current students receive need-based financial assistance from the College or the federal Pell grant program.
