The Mount Holyoke College Library, Information, and Technology Services (LITS) welcomes visitors to use many of the collections, services, and spaces on site during the general public building hours in accordance with College and LITS policies and procedures.
The primary mission of LITS is to support the academic needs of current students, faculty, and staff of Mount Holyoke College and the other Five Colleges and ensure their reasonable access to LITS resources, spaces, and services. On occasion, visitors may be asked to yield to the needs of these primary users.
The public bulletin boards inside the LITS main doors are the only spaces available for posting advertisements and flyers for non-LITS services, events, activities, and resources.
- Computer and network access:
Visitors may use the public access computers throughout the LITS buildings to access the library catalog and other resources in accordance with the College’s acceptable computer use policy. Most library databases may be used by visitors and alumnae while they are visiting campus but license conditions prevent us from offering any off-campus access. Visitors wishing to connect to the College’s wireless network during their stay may register for guest access.
On Level 2 Miles-Smith building there is a vending machine offering “Guest Cards” for printing/photocopying. Additional funds can be added to the card at the machine across from the Circulation Desk.
