Good morning. On behalf of the Mount Holyoke College staff, it is a pleasure to welcome the incoming class of 2012! The returning classes of 2011; 2010; and the graduating class of 2009!

I am here to tell you what you already know--Mount Holyoke is the place to be. That is what 896 staff believe, whether it is their first year of employment or their forty-fifth. We know it is the place to be. This is evident by the longevity of the staff who work on this campus. Twenty-five percent have been here for more than 15 years. When people come to work here they quickly realize what wonderful atmosphere we have at Mount Holyoke. Not only the beautiful scenery and outstanding facilities, but the attitude of the people; they genuinely care about their work, other employees, students, and truly enjoy coming to work--most of the time.

As employees, we are fortunate to be a part of your college education and watch your growth as a person. We perhaps will form a friendship with you or possibly be a mentor. Whatever your four years at Mount Holyoke brings you, we hope you remember the 896 staff employed here to make your experience the best for you. We are here to help you be. From the moment you walk through the admission office door to the moment you leave this very stage with your Mount Holyoke College diploma in your hand, we hope that you know we are here for you! Have a great year!
